Alina Osorio Alina Osorio BEng, P.Eng., MBA, CFA

Alina Osorio is responsible for leading Fiera Infrastructure and overseeing the firm’s investment, asset management and finance teams.

Alina Osorio is responsible for leading Fiera Infrastructure and overseeing the firm’s investment, asset management and finance teams.

Alina is a seasoned professional in the utility and infrastructure investment and financing sector. She has worked as an infrastructure investment professional and has been a key player in the sector for more than two decades.

Her many years of experience stem from her roles as an equity research analyst covering Canadian utility companies, an investment banker in the infrastructure sector , a principal investor, and finally, as a portfolio strategist for a major Canadian pension fund. She has extensive experience and a solid track record in her field.

Before joining Fiera Infrastructure, she was CEO of Aquila Infrastructure, where she oversaw the creation of the firm and its growth to more than $225 million in assets under management. Prior to that, she was CEO of the Macquarie Essential Assets Partnership (“MEAP”), North America’s first unlisted infrastructure fund, which invested in Canada and the United States. Under her leadership, MEAP pursued and assessed numerous opportunities, completed five acquisitions and one divestment. Alina went on to lead the infrastructure program at OPTrust, with a capital allocation of $2.5 billion. In this role, she was responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing investment strategies and acquisitions, and managing an infrastructure portfolio in excess of $1 billion.

Alina holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.

Jamie Crotin Jamie Crotin BA, MBA, MFA

Managing Director

Jamie heads the development and execution of new investment opportunities at Fiera Infrastructure.

Through his experience in investment banking and principal investing, he brings a strong background in finance, mergers and acquisitions.

He previously worked at RBC Capital Markets in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Earlier in his career, he worked in investing at Lawrence & Company, Claridge and NB Capital Partners, and in investment banking at JP Morgan and Fieldstone Private Capital Group.

Jamie holds a BA from the University of Western Ontario, an MBA from the University of Toronto and an MFA from Columbia University.

Jason Cogley Jason Cogley BCom, CA

Managing Director

Jason leads deal origination and execution, and contributes to asset management in Europe. He is based out of Fiera Infrastructure's London office in UK.

Jason leads deal origination and execution, and contributes to asset management in Europe. He is based out of Fiera Infrastructure's London office in UK.

He brings to our investment team his extensive experience, acquired during more than 19 years of experience in the infrastructure and investment industries. Since 2014, he had been at the London office of SL Capital, the private markets business of Standard Life. There, he focused on the sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of direct infrastructure investment opportunities. He originated the majority of portfolio company investments for SL Capital Infrastructure I, SL’s infrastructure fund. Before joining SL Capital, Jason worked for 15 years in the infrastructure sector, dealing with energy infrastructure, regulated utilities and PPPs with Impax Asset Management, Infrared Capital Partners, Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, as well as PwC.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Monash University in Australia and is certified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAA).

Brooks Kaufman Brooks Kaufman BA, MBA

Managing Director

Brooks leads the origination and execution of new investment opportunities and contributes to portfolio and asset management at Fiera Infrastructure. He is based in the United States where he heads the New York office.

Brooks leads the origination and execution of new investment opportunities and contributes to portfolio and asset management at Fiera Infrastructure. He is based in the United States where he heads the New York office.

Brooks has more than 23 years of experience in infrastructure investing, across various roles in industry, investment banking and principal investment. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment origination, valuation, structuring and execution, along with asset management, board leadership and fundraising experience.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Brooks was an Investment Director with IFM Investors, where he was responsible for assessing infrastructure investment opportunities. He previously held various roles in investment banking, corporate finance and industry, including Soltage (renewable energy company), Bank of America Securities, Fieldstone Private Capital Group, Mirant Corporation (formerly Southern Energy, Inc.) and JPMorgan.

Brooks holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from the New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Brian Moncik Brian Moncik BCom, CPA, CA

Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Asset Management

Brian brings to Fiera Infrastructure his experience as a financial professional focused on asset-intensive industries.

Brian brings to Fiera Infrastructure his experience as a financial professional focused on asset-intensive industries.

In his role, Brian is responsible for the finance and accounting activities of Fiera Infrastructure and the investment funds and portfolio companies managed by the firm.  Brian also oversees asset management of the investments. 

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure in 2016, Brian was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Slate Office REIT, a TSX-listed real estate investment trust with a market capitalization of approximately $250 million. Before joining Slate, Brian was Senior Vice-President of Finance at SkyPower Global, a leading developer and operator of renewable power assets in Canada and around the world. During his nine years at SkyPower, Brian was responsible for finance and accounting, including corporate and project fundraising, along with overseeing the operating portfolio and acquisitions. Prior to joining SkyPower, Brian held the position of Controller of Funds Management at Brookfield Asset Management.  Brian began his career at Deloitte LLP.

Brian is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Ryan Gow Ryan Gow BSc, BA, MFin, CFA

Director

Ryan participates in all aspects of the team’s investment activities, including origination, contract negotiation, transaction structuring, financial modelling, and due diligence.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Ryan was most recently Vice President at Forum Equity Partners, a leading investment management and development firm focused on infrastructure, renewable energy, and real estate. At Forum, Ryan was primarily responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of Public Private Partnership transactions. Before joining Forum, Ryan was a member of the project finance team at SkyPower Limited, where he was responsible for the financial modelling, due diligence, and transaction execution of numerous solar financings. Prior to joining SkyPower, Ryan was a member of the Global Commissioning Group for the Water & Process Technologies division of GE Power & Water.

Ryan holds a B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) and B.A. (Economics) from Queen’s University, and a Masters in Finance degree from the Queen’s School of Business. Ryan is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Othman Taleb Othman Taleb BBA, MSc Finance

Othman Taleb leads transactions and participates in all aspects of the team’s investment activities including transaction due diligence, contract and transaction agreement negotiations, transaction structuring and oversight of the closing processes.

Othman brings a solid background and experience in deal origination and execution to Fiera Infrastructure. He is responsible for overseeing transactions in the renewable energy, PPP and utilities sectors.

Prior to Fiera Infrastructure, Othman worked at Fengate Real Asset Investments, a leading investment management and development firm focused on infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and senior housing. At Fengate, Othman was responsible for leading financial modelling work streams and due diligence, assisting with deal structuring and contract negotiations, as well as directing complex transactions. Prior to joining Fengate, Othman worked at Macquarie’s investment banking team in London (UK) where he worked on various European transactions in the power and utilities space. Othman has acquired experience in a wide variety of projects, including social and transportation infrastructure, renewable energy assets, leveraged buyouts and desalination facilities.

Othman holds a Master of Science in Finance (with Merit) from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Business Administration (with Distinction) from HEC Montreal. He is fluent in three languages, including French and English.

Mike Procyk Mike Procyk BA, MFE

Vice President

Mike is responsible for providing the Transaction Execution and Asset Management teams with in-depth analytical, modelling, and due diligence support.

Prior to working with Fiera Infrastructure, Mike was with Capstone Infrastructure, a TSX-listed company focused on owning and operating infrastructure assets. While at Capstone, Mike gained extensive experience in the power generation sector while working on both brownfield and greenfield renewable projects. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Financial Economics from the University of Toronto, a joint program between the Department of Economics and the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management.

Daniel Anderson Daniel Anderson

Vice President

Daniel provides analytical, modelling and due diligence support to the Transaction Execution and Asset Management teams. He is based out of Fiera Infrastructure's London office in UK.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Daniel worked at DC Advisory, a very active M&A team that has been involved in many of the high-profile deals in the European infrastructure mid-market space over the last several years. Daniel’s transaction experience includes the oil and gas services, telecom and transportation sectors, and has covered both the corporate finance and financing elements of acquisition advisory. He previously worked at BNY Mellon and held a summer position at Goldman Sachs.

Daniel has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Bath.

Steve Disley Steve Disley BESc

Vice President, Asset Management Operations

Steve leads the operational excellence division of within our Asset Management team.

Steve leads the operational excellence division of within our Asset Management team.

Steve brings a strong background in engineering and project management to Fiera Infrastructure. He is actively involved in Fiera Infrastructure’s asset portfolio from a technical perspective. In his role overseeing operations, he optimizes the performance of our portfolio investments by applying industry best practices and optimizing operations including the implementation of new technology. Steve also participates in technical due diligence reviews of new investment opportunities globally.

Before joining Fiera Infrastructure in 2016, Steve was a lead project manager at Aquila Project Solutions Inc., where his area of focus expanded from engineering design to a leadership role in managing projects across North America, including renewable energy, sports and entertainment facilities developments.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree (Civil/Structural) from the University of Western Ontario.

Clayton Vanos Clayton Vanos HBA , BESc

Clayton provides analytical, financial modeling, and due diligence support to the transaction execution and asset management teams.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure in 2016, Clayton was an Analyst within the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Constellation Software where he focused on due diligence and financial modelling work streams. His experience also includes internships in chemical engineering and financial analysis. Clayton is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Greg Smith Greg Smith HBA , BESc

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Greg worked at General Electric in the Water & Process Technologies division focusing on product operations and marketing. Greg is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, holding a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering.

Emre Serpkenci provides analytical, modeling and due diligence support to the transaction execution and asset management teams.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure Emre most recently held a summer position at KPMG LLP as a consultant in the Global Infrastructure Advisory group. In addition, he worked at Morrison Hershfield as an Engineering Assistant in the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure group.

Emre is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, holding a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Civil Engineering.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Ronan worked within the Infrastructure team at DC Advisory, a highly active M&A team which has recently developed in to one of the leading Infrastructure advisory businesses within the European mid-market sector. Ronan’s transaction experience includes the telecom, transportation, and storage terminals sectors, and has covered both the corporate finance and financing elements of acquisition advisory. He previously worked at Royal Bank of Scotland, and completed a placement year at Morgan Stanley during his time at university. Ronan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting & Finance from Durham University.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Max worked as an associate within Power, Utilities and Infrastructure M&A team at Société Générale with primary focus on transport infrastructure and renewables. Max previously worked within Diversified Industries as well as Natural Resources teams at J.P. Morgan, where his transaction experience included infrastructure, transportation, metals and mining, automotive, business services and capital goods sectors. He has been involved in numerous M&A and capital markets transactions.

Max has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Warwick.

 

Connor McLeman Connor McLeman HBA

Connor provides analytical, modelling and due diligence support to the Transaction Execution and Asset Management teams.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Connor spent a summer with BMO Capital Markets as an investment banking analyst in the Calgary office covering the energy sector. In addition, he held a summer position as a financial analyst with Pillar Capital Corp., a boutique private lender.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Luc Allaer Luc Allaer HBA, BESc

Luc is responsible for supporting the Asset Management team through analytics, financial modelling, and due diligence.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Luc was an Analyst within the Infrastructure and Capital Projects group at Deloitte where he focused on project organization and execution in both the public and private sector.  His experience also includes internships in industrial and construction engineering, and project management.

Luc is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario; and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Erisa Vieira Erisa Vieira JD, HBCom

General Counsel

Erisa provides strategic and legal advice across all of Fiera Infrastructure’s operations, investment funds and portfolio companies, and is responsible for oversight of legal, compliance and risk activities.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Erisa was a corporate lawyer at Stikeman Elliott LLP, a leading Canadian business law firm, and most recently, Erisa served as Chief Compliance Officer of Slate Asset Management, a Toronto-based investment and asset management firm. In her previous roles, her law practice primarily focused on, securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and fundraising, corporate governance and general commercial matters. She brings a breadth of experience as a seasoned legal professional to the Fiera Infrastructure team. 

Erisa holds a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the Degroote School of Business. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and the Canadian Bar Association.

Martine Becker Martine Becker CPA, CA, MMPA

Vice President, Finance

Martine is responsible for financial reporting and compliance processes for the funds in Fiera Infrastructure Inc.

In her role overseeing the management of the funds, Martine is responsible for the accounting, compliance and reporting of the funds as well as the consolidated company.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Martine was in the finance group at a mid-tier publicly traded mining company with assets in North and South America. Prior to that, Martine worked in the Audit and Assurance Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, focusing primarily on international publicly traded mining clients.

Martine is a Chartered Professional Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Management and Professional Accounting from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.

Nicholas Festarini Nicholas Festarini CPA, CA

Manager, Portfolio Companies

Nicholas is responsible for the accounting, compliance and reporting of the portfolio companies owned and managed by Fiera Infrastructure.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Nicholas was a Controller at a Venture Capital Firm investing in early stage businesses. Prior to that, he was an Audit Manager at Deloitte LLP, leading engagement teams in the Financial Institutions group.

Nicholas is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University.

Chris Cheung Chris Cheung CPA

Manager, Funds Management

Chris is responsible for the accounting, compliance and reporting of the funds in Fiera Infrastructure Inc.

Prior to joining Fiera Infrastructure, Chris was in the finance group at Slate Asset Management primarily responsible for accounting and financial reporting.

Chris is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Toronto.
