Fiera Infrastructure integrates the identification, assessment and management of ESG factors into its investment decision-making, asset management and ownership practices. We’re of the firm belief that being a steward of a responsible investment and management approach will add long-term value for all our stakeholders and that the integration of ESG factors is an essential component of sustainable value creation.
Fiera Infrastructure’s approach to ESG integration is cooperative and tailored to each investment and remains a core consideration throughout the entire investment and asset management cycle. Our ESG Committee sets our ESG strategy and oversees its execution. Furthermore, we participate in and support several industry-led ESG initiatives and frameworks, including the GRESB Infrastructure Assessment, the United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Fiera Infrastructure has developed a standardized framework for assessing ESG factors in new investment opportunities and our portfolio companies. Considerable time and resources are devoted to identifying and understanding these ESG factors, with the appropriate steps taken to mitigate risks and realize opportunities. Across our portfolio, we continuously monitor and analyze the impact our investments have on the environment and social settings in which they operate to ensure we understand and identify potential opportunities for improvement.

Action on Climate Change
At Fiera Infrastructure, we recognize the risks and opportunities that climate change poses to our organization, our portfolio companies, and the communities in which we operate, as well as, the broader global economy and environment.
Climate considerations play a major role in our investment strategy, diligence, active management, monitoring, and reporting of our investments. We’re in the process of developing a framework to outline how we intend to address the effects of climate change rooted in our core value of protecting against both imminent and long-term investment risks.
Fiera Infrastructure, through its parent company, Fiera Capital Corporation, has joined the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative, an international group of asset managers committed to supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner. As part of this commitment, we will start with a subset of our portfolio to be managed in line with achieving net zero emissions, and over time we’ll expand this program to cover all investments in our portfolio before 2050.
To support our climate commitment, we quantify portfolio emissions annually, integrate climate risks and opportunities into ongoing portfolio monitoring and apply the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations to inform our climate strategy and disclosure.

The Committee is comprised of experienced team members from each business unit with the goal of bringing forward diverse and fulsome perspectives.
