Cory Riverside Energy

Cory Riverside Energy

Cory Riverside Energy is one of the UK’s leading resource management, recycling, and energy recovery companies. The company developed, owns and operates the largest Energy from Waste (EfW) facility in the United Kingdom, processing circa 750,000 tonnes of London’s household and commercial waste annually. The waste is converted into heat and circa 525,000 MWh of electricity per annum. An additional 19,500 tonnes of metals are recovered and recycled in addition to 175,000 tonnes of ash which is used by the construction industry as building aggregates. Unique to the asset is that it uses the River Thames as a green highway, transporting waste to the facility utilizing a fleet of tugs and barges, removing around 100,000 truck movements a year off congested London roads. The company is uniquely positioned to utilize its portfolio of surplus land and respond to London’s structural waste processing shortage to further develop the site with additional EfW capacity.
