Clark Canyon is 4.7 MW run-of-river hydroelectric project in late-stage development and located in Dillon, Montana. Water accumulates in the Clark Canyon Reservoir upstream from the dam and is released through an 8-foot diameter steel penstock into the powerhouse, where it is converted into energy using two Francis-type turbines. This renewable power is then routed to Idaho Power’s main grid through an overhead transmission line, where 100% of it is sold under a long-term power purchase agreement.
