Bill McKenzie is a member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of Fiera Infrastructure.

He is a director/advisor for private companies, three private equity funds and a private debt fund. Bill McKenzie & Associates Inc. provides corporate finance, governance and strategic advisory services. 

Bill McKenzie has extensive experience in private investments. He has made major contributions as an investor, director and corporate executive, leading more than 20 private investments and serving as a director of more than 20 companies.

Bill was Senior Vice President of AIMCo, a $70 billion institutional investor, where he led a team to source, assess, negotiate and actively manage direct international infrastructure investments in excess of $2 billion. He was a member of the AIMCo Executive and Investment committees. Bill was Vice President of one of Canada’s largest and most active private equity investment firms for 15 years. He initiated venture capital investments that led to 5 companies being acquired by strategic buyers, 3 IPOs and 3 acquisitions of venture capital ownership positions. As Vice President, Corporate Development of Churchill (now Stuart Olson Construction), Bill led initiatives to accelerate growth and enhance profitability and value, including acquisitions and divestitures, becoming listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and attracting institutional investor interest and research coverage. 

Bill McKenzie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Regina, plus designations as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.  He has also completed the ICD professional director program.
